Mad Cow Theatre is proud to present The Light in the Piazza, a Broadway musical based on a novella set in the 1950s in Italy. The story follows a mother and daughter as they're vacationing in Italy. The daughter, Clara, falls in love with an Italian man, which her mother greatly disapproves of. The musical highlights their romance and explores the reasons her mother is unhappy with her daughter's romance.
In 2005, The Light in the Piazza was nominated for 11 Tonys, taking home 6 of them. It's considered one of the most celebrated musicals of the decade.
