  • The Mayor's Sole Challenge is a 30-minute walk through Winter Park with festivities before and after. The competition has the communities of Eatonville, Maitland and Winter Park face off as families, friends, kids, and colleagues see which community has the most "sole" by bringing out the most participants. The walk is a celebration of community and health, promoting fitness and strong ties.

This year’s walk will include the added feature of “dance-walking,” which allows participants to dance their way through the walk. Be sure to invite your entire Zumba® class, cheerleading squad, dance team, faith group, friends and neighbors for this family-friendly event. Whether you prefer dance walking or just walking, this Orlando event is great for all ages.

After the walk is complete, the Mayor's Sole Challenge festivities will continue in Central Park with food, activities and a special appearance by Bo Outlaw of the Orlando Magic. Free health screenings will be offered by Florida Hospital and Centra Care. In addition to pedometers and other prize giveaways, the first 400 walkers will each receive a free t-shirt.

This event is FREE to the public, but advance registration is requested by visiting their website.

The Mayor's Sole Challenge meets at 7 am at the main stage in Central Park.
