Amura — Dr. Phillips is a multiple award-winning Japanese steak and sushi restaurant in the heart of Restaurant Row. Amura — "Village of Love" in Japanese — uses only the freshest ingredients, and its menu is designed with three concepts in mind: fresh, healthy and delicious. Dressings and sauces are made in-house, and seafood is only the freshest available. Amura also boasts an impressive sake and wine list, including exclusive selections.
Recognized by Zagat as one of the best sushi restaurants in the world, Amura serves "Hi-Definition" sushi, which is distinguished by its fresh taste, smell and color. The restaurant works with distributors to obtain only the freshest fish available that day.
In addition to its extensive sushi menu, Amura has full lunch and dinner menus with all the traditional Japanese favorites, as well as dishes that are uniquely Amura. A Korean menu and Sunday lunch menu are also offered.
As if all of those options weren't enough, one of the restaurant's highlights is its teppanyaki fire-show cooking, where your meal is made on a hibachi grill at your table with fun, flare and flames.
Happy hour is every day from 5-7 p.m. and includes discounts on sushi rolls, appetizers, wine, martinis and premium liquor drinks. Monday and Tuesday from 5-6:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon-6:30 p.m. is teppanyaki happy hour; Monday and Tuesday you also receive $2 off all sushi rolls (excluding happy hour rolls); Wine Down Wednesday is 50% off all wine; and Thursday is Ladies Night and features $2 martinis.
Amura is available for events, whether it is a business luncheon, birthday, family get-together or private celebration.
You can make reservations online for any of Amura's three Florida locations, as well as purchase gift cards. Please note that Amura is closed weekdays from 3-5 p.m.
