Vote for Lake Eola to be "America's Favorite Park!"

• Orlando’s pride, Lake Eola, is currently ranking as one of the top spots in a contest open until July 15th, and every local and tourist should VOTE!

  Coco-Cola is sponsoring a contest called “America Is Your Park,” where one park in the country will be chosen to earn a $100,000 grant, with the second and third spots respectively earning $50,000 and $25,000.

  Voting is easy, and it’s a great way to support your city and favorite vacation destination. Here's how you can earn points for Lake Eola to win:

  1. Register and Vote Online (1 vote)

  Visit https://parks.livepositively.com/parks/index.html#/vote and search for Lake Eola or find them on the leaderboard. Click the vote button, and login or register with your information (takes less than 40 seconds).After you’ve finished voting, share it with your friends and encourage them to vote.

  2. Check-in at Lake Eola on Foursquare (5 votes)

  Go to this beautiful park, go to coke.com/parks and link your Foursquare app. Then Check-in! Foursquare is like a digital scrapbook where you can keep track of the places you visit, see where other friends are, post pictures, leave reviews and tips, and earn badges. Lake Eola a popular place to walk in the city, so lots of people check in here. It’s scenic, there’s a track that goes around that you can run on. You can feed the swans or get a bite to eat at a restaurant close by. Enjoy the park and earn votes for Lake Eola at the same time.

  3. Log in 20 minutes of activity at Lake Eola on MapMyFitness (10 votes)

  MapMyFitness is an app that allows you to track your fitness. Next time you go on a stroll around the lake or train for that marathon or take Fido on a walk, visit coke.com/parks and link your MapMyFitnesss account. Log in your 20 minutes of activity with MapMyFitness, to earn 10 votes for Lake Eola in the contest.

   

  There are also double vote days where your vote counts twice! Vote on July 4-5 and July 13-14 to earn more points for Orlando’s downtown park.

  Lake Eola has big plans if you help them to win the contest. With the $100,000 grant, they plan to expand the swan boat program to lessen wait times and allow more people to enjoy the lake.
