Profile Overview
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is the newest of five value-priced resorts at Walt Disney World in Orlando. The resort is based around four of Disney and Pixar's most popular films: The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Cars. The hotel consists of nearly 2,000 rooms divided into 1,120 suites – designed to accommodate up to six people – and 864 standard rooms.
Each area of the resort is decorated with images and sculptures of characters from their respective movies. While The Little Mermaid section features an "Under the Sea" decor along motel-style exterior walkways and a 35 foot model of King Triton, the other three sections of the resort house themed suites with interior walkways between rooms.
Decorated to resemble the Cozy Cone Motel, The Cars section features popular characters from the film such as Lightning McQueen, Sally and Mater, among others. The Lion King section offers a more natural setting with wild decorations and classic Disney movies at night under the stars in The Lion King Courtyard. The Finding Nemo section is themed with an ocean setting featuring underwater decorations and the largest resort pool in all of Walt Disney World: The Big Blue Pool.
The resort hosts three separate pools for relaxing and cooling off. Featuring characters and themes from Finding Nemo, the zero-entry Big Blue Pool is equipped with underwater speakers and set pieces from the film. There is also a Drop Off pool bar that serves snacks and refreshments. The nearby Schoolyard Sprayground and Squirt’s Righteous Reef in the Finding Nemo Courtyard provide interactive wet and dry play areas for the younger guppies.
The Cozy Cone Pool inspired by Cars, features cone-shaped bungalows and characters from the film. At the Flippin' Fins Pool guests can enjoy an “Under the Sea Orchestra” conducted by Sebastian from The Little Mermaid.
The Landscape of Flavor offers quick international and American-inspired dining options such as build-your-own burgers, and tandoor oven-roasted meats and veggies.
The video game arcade in the Animation Hall building host both classic and new games, while a 1.38-mile long jogging trail around the perimeter of the complex allows guests a scenic walk or run.
The resort provides complimentary Wi-Fi and bus transportation to most areas throughout Walt Disney World Resort and to and from Orlando International Airport.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is located on Walt Disney World property off Animation Way not far from Disney's Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach Water Park.
