9th Annual Dentistry with a Heart is a day of free dental care at A Soft Touch in Family Dental Care. For the past 8 years, A Soft Touch in Family Dental Care, in Apopka, FL, has set aside one day where they open up their doors to the community. Free dentistry is offered on a first come first serve basis.
With dentists from all over the Orlando area pitching in, they were able to see over 120 patients last year and hope to top that this year. The owner, Dr. John Gammichia said, “This is my favorite day of the whole year. I just love giving back to the people in my community and I am so moved each year by the outpouring of people willing to help with the event.” The name of the event, Dentistry with a Heart, says it all. No government papers are involved and the event is purely charitable. Past recipients of free dental care have included those rejected by Medicaid, those struggling in the present economy, and many more people from different walks of life.
The next Dentistry with a Heart will be Friday, February 7th, 2014. Please feel free to invite all of your friends to this event. Dentistry will be performed first come first serve from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Dentistry with a Heart will take place at A Soft Touch in Family Dental Care located off U.S. 441 in Apopka near the 7 Eleven.
