Award-winning theatre department, West Orange High School, presents it's final musical of the year, GYPSY. With a live orchestra and sparkling cast, this show is a fantastic representation of what some proclaim the greatest musical tale of all time! This fabled tale of an aggressive stage mother who pushes her young girls into show business is set in the 1920's. The show follows Rose, June and Louise in their trip across the United States, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born. Jule Styne's music and legendary Stephen Sondheim's lyrics include Let Me Entertain You, Some People, You'll Never Get Away from Me, If Momma Was Married, All I Need Is the Girl, Everything's Coming Up Roses, You Gotta Get A Gimmick and Together Wherever We Go. This is a gripping story of one of the most frightening aspects of show business.
