Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony

• The City of Sanford and the Seminole County Area Veterans Advisory Council (S.C.A.V.A.C.) cordially invite you to participate in the Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, May 26th.  The Parade starts at 10 AM on 1st Street, in our beautiful downtown, from Sanford Avenue to Park Avenue, and continues Veterans Memorial Park on Park Avenue, from 1st Street to Seminole Boulevard.  The Remembrance Ceremony begins at 11 AM in Veterans Memorial Park. 

  As the only Parade in Central Florida, this venue provides you with a unique opportunity to showcase your business or civic organization while paying homage to those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for the unique freedoms that we enjoy in the United States.   With plenty of free parking  and a variety of Color Guards, military vehicles and veteran organizations in attendance coupled with the quaint historic downtown and the spectacular waterfront venue on Lake Monroe, this event is the greatest place to give Thanks to those who have served, continue to serve and to mourn with the family members who have lost loved ones on Memorial Day.
