The Solar Bears are Orlando's official hockey team. They play in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) and first came to Orlando in 1988.
The South Carolina Stingrays are a minor ice hockey team part of the ECHL. Their home base is in North Charleston, South Carolina, and their head coach is Spencer Carbery. The team first came together in 1993 and have won 3 Kelly Cups, their most recent win being in the 2008-2009 seasons. Some of their top players include Scott Campbell, Chad Painchaud, Jordan Owens, Jeff Jakaitis, and Marc Hagel.
The South Carolina Stingrays have 14 wins and 2 losses, while the Solar Bears have 12 wins and 6 losses.

The Solar Bears will be having a Teacher Appreciation Weekend for the game starting on Friday and running through Sunday. Join with other educators in the Orlando community for Teacher Appreciation Weekend, running Friday through Sunday. Tonight will also be Scout Night with a pin giveaway to the first 3,000 fans in attendance. There will also be special Scout Jerseys.
