Urban Flats Restaurant & Wine Bar — Downtown

Now open in its new, more spacious location, Urban Flats Restaurant & Wine Bar is a downtown staple that's popular for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Self-described as "casual dining with a dash of chic energy," Urban Flats is inspired by the excitement of urban renewal and the idea of reinventing yourself.

Its staple flatbreads are fresh and gourmet, but visitors would be amiss to not also try some of the starters — the loaded potato dip, and baked goat cheese and tomato are favorites — as well as the entrees, which include seared tuna, ribs, fish tacos, ravioli and more; and wraps and sandwhiches. Everything is farm-to-table, using seasonal and regional ingredients. This means the menu always offers temporary items, so diners can visit again and again, and always try something new.

Even larger than the food menu is the wine list. Broken down into seven categories from Bubbly to Dark Reds, it would be nearly impossible to not find at least one glass or bottle that doesn't strike your fancy. Bottled and draft beers, and martinis and cocktails made with Van Gough Vodka round out the alcoholic beverage menu.

In addition to its flatbreads, Urban Flats is most well known for its Wine Down Wednesday. As a post-work, mid-week pick-me-up, guests can enjoy unlimited wine and food samples for one set price. Usually from one region or distributor, Wine Down Wednesday always includes reds and whites, and the food is a combination of appetizers and flatbreads, with of course something sweet at the end.

The new location is not only open and spacious inside, but also offers outdoor seating and great people watching on the patio along Church Street.
