Profile Overview
Dinosaur World is a popular family-friendly attraction in Plant City, about one hour from Orlando, where visitors get up-close-and-personal with creatures that once ruled the Earth. Home to 150 dinosuars and Florida's largest fossil dig and dinosaur boneyard experience, Dinosuar World features life-sized models of dinosaurs that entertain and educate.
Families and classes visit the park to learn, have fun and enjoy the lifelike animals. The dinosaur models are up to 80 feet in length and based on the latest scientific discoveries. They're made of fiberglass, steel and concrete, and arranged in groups of a single species in a variety of settings. The replicas are so beleivable that guests claim to see them moving among the shadows of the lush assortment of vegetation.
The park also boasts a dinosaur boneyard and fossil dig that's fun for the kids. Food services aren't offered, but guests are welcome to bring picnic lunches to enjoy at one of the many tables or in the play area. It's also a great venue for birthdays.
September-January the park hours change to 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Annual passes are less than $30 for Florida adults, and group pricing is offered. Florida resident discounts are often available, so check the website for the latest deals and events.
Ample free parking is available.
Dinosaur World is located off Interstate 4 exit 17, about one hour from Orlando. A giant T-Rex is visible from the interstate and greets visitors.
