    Universal Orlando Resort's Islands of Adventure theme park takes guests on a once-in-a-lifetime journey through uniqely themed islands. The park boasts the world's most cutting-edge rides, shows and interactive attractions, which bring to life some of the most popular stories, myths, cartoons, comic book heroes, children's tales and more.

    Travel from island to island as you spend the day at Marvel Super Hero Island, Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Lost Continent and Seuss Landing.

    Some of the rides and attractions at Islands of Adventure include Dragon Challenge; The Incredble Hull Coaster; Doctor Doom's Fearfall; water rides Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges and Jurassic Park River Adventure; The Cat In The Hat; One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish; The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man; The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride; The Flight of the Hippogriff; Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey; Caro-Seuss-el; Pteranodon Flyers; and Storm Force Accelatron.

    Popular shows include The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad Stunt Show, Oh! The Stories You'll Hear!, and Poseidon's Fury. There are also multiple play areas for children.

    Islands of Adventure is home to the annual Grinchmas holiday event, when Seuss Landing is transformed into a winter wonderland.

    The park's biggest draw is the world-famous The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, based on the record-breaking books and movies. Guests can ride a high-speed dragon roller coaster or family-friendly Hippogriff coaster, or tour the Hogwarts castle on Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. You'll also enjoy a glass of butterbeer as you shop in Hogsmeade at Dervish and Banges, Honeydukes, Zonko’s Joke Shop and Ollivanders wand shop. Grab lunch, dinner or a drink at Three Broomsticks or Hog's Head.

    Hours vary throughout the year, so make sure to check the park's website. Ticket prices vary, and ticket options include one-, two- and three-day passes (single park or park hopper), as well as annual passes.

    Parking is available in the Universal Orlando Resort parking garage for $16 per vehicle, or $22 for preferred parking and RV/bus parking. From 6-10 p.m. parking is $5, and it's free after 10 p.m. Florida residents park free after 6 p.m. with proof of residency. Valet parking is also available, and rates vary.

    Universal Orlando Resort includes theme parks Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure; dining and shopping at Universal CityWalk; and hotels Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, and Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort (opening 2014).
