Jewish Community Center's Jack & Lee Rosen Southwest Orlando Campus
The Jewish Community Center's Jack & Lee Rosen Southwest Orlando Campus is the hub of Jewish life in Orlando, offering education, social, cultural and fitness programs.
One of two campuses for the Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando, the Rosen campus opened in 2009 and is known for its award-winning Early Childhood Learning Center and J University after-school program. A popular summer camp destination, the JCC also has a fitness center, sports leagues and classes, seniors events, and cultural arts/theatre programs.
Each year, the Rosen campus hosts a Winter Festival, which is attended by 1,500 residents and visitors; and participates in JCC community events at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs for Israel Independence Day in April/May, with attendance of 7,000; and Taste of the J in August, a food festival that's attended by 2,000 people. The campus also holds a plethora of daily and weekly events and classes, with a complete calendar of activities and programs available online.
JCC community service projects include an annual Mitzvah Day; weekly respite care with Share the Care; hosting activities for local youths; free legal assistance; and holiday toy drives and regular food drives for Jewish Family Services.
JCC memberships are available, and tours can be scheduled for all of the campus entities, including the preschool, Camp J, fitness center and J University.
