The Orlando Science Center is an interactive learning hub for adults and children alike. There are multiple exhibits, classes, camps, demonstrations, shows, and competitions to participate in. All cover a wide range of important educational topics while challenging visitors to exercise their knowledge. Exhibits focus on paleontology, astronomy, engineering, biology and the natural sciences, environmental science meteorology, and much more.
KidsTown is where kids can play and learn, building dams in a water table, picking oranges in the Orange Grove Factory, explore the KidsTown tree and have fun! There's also lots of interesting, hands-on exhibits at Science Park. At DinoDigs you can uncover fossils in the sand pit and see skeletons of some of the amazing prehistoric animals that used to walk the Earth. Along with providing planetarium shows in their Dr. Phillips CineDome, they also have other educational films and movies in 3D. Plus, they show screenings of Hollywood feature films.
The Orlando Science Center is also a great venue for any number of events. Scouts can enjoy a special visit, or schools can take in a fun field trip. There are workshops and classes for groups, or community clubs or organizations can enjoy an overnight stay filled with exciting activities. The Orlando Science Center can also serve as a reception venue for a wedding or a dining space for a fundraiser or corporate dinner. There are event offsite programs and competitions to participate in. The Orlando Science Center has been pioneering the community, education and imagination since 1955 and they continue to today.
The Orlando Science Center is located on the west side of Loch Haven Park in North Orange.
