If you're looking for a thrill ride during your next trip to Walt Disney World Resort, then you might want to take a look at the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Magic Kingdom, where you can drive or ride in a 600-horsepower NASCAR race car. You can race around the track at speeds up to 120 mph while friends and family cheer from the pit.
Walt Disney World Speedway is a one-mile tri-oval that was built in 1995 as a venue for the Izod IndyCar Series and is now the exclusive home to Richard Petty Driving Experience.
Reservations aren't usually needed for Ride-Alongs, which are offered most days from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and include three laps for $99. Junior Ride-Alongs for children ages 6-13 are available for $59.
Driving Experiences require reservations and can be purchased online. Packages range from eight laps to 50, with costs from $449-$2,599.
Driving and Ride-Along experiences are also available in exotic supercars, such as a Ferrari, Audi or Porsche. The selection of exotic cars changes daily, and reservations are needed for driving experiences.
Richard Petty Driving Experience is located at Walt Disney World Resort at the Magic Kingdom Park.
