  Rising Star Karaoke at Universal CityWalk is not your typical karaoke bar.  This 440-seat club features karaoke onstage with a live band and backup singers, and there's an energetic host to keep the show going.

  Choose your performance piece from an extensive list of songs that spans every genre, tempo and style, from hard rock to country ballads to standard karaoke favorites (Livin' on a Prayer, anyone?).

  Tuesday-Saturday you get the live band, and Sunday and Monday feature recorded tracks. But either way you still have the support of backup singers and a host.

  Cover is $7 or with a CityWalk Party Pass, and there's no charge to sing. But get there early, because the set list fills up fast.

  In between songs, enjoy a beer, wine or cocktail from the full-liquor bar, or a bite to eat from the menu of appetizers, which includes buffalo wings, quesadillas, pretzel sticks, mini sliders, bruschetta pomodoro and chicken bites. If you need some liquid courage to get onstage, the bar has Karaoke Cocktails, such as Very Berry and Triple Rum Punch.

  If enjoying the show is more your thing, there's plenty of places to sit and relax. Tee club has two floors, spacious booths, plenty of tables, bars upstairs and down, and servers to take your order.

  Parking is available in the Universal Orlando Resort garage. Regular parking is $16 per vehicle and Preferred and RV/bus parking is $22. Florida residents park free after 6 p.m. with a valid ID.

  Rising Star Karaoke is located on the upper level of Universal CityWalk, across from Pat O'Brien's.
