  • Barktoberfest is a downtown event featuring animal adoptions provided by the Orange County Animal Services. Last year's Barktoberfest drew in nearly 5,000 Orlando residents, raising awareness for rescue groups, local businesses, and aiding in the adoption of 50 pets. Register to attend Barktoberfest at the Orange County Florida website.

The first 100 pets to arrive will receive $5 rabies vaccinations, and the first 50 will receive free microchips. After that, microchipping will be only $15 per pet. Dozens of local vendors and shelters will be set up with goods and information for pet-owners. There are so many animals looking for a home, and this event is a perfect opportunity to make that happen.

Hang around and take your new pet to the Shampooch fundraiser just a few steps away. For more info on Shampooch, check out their event profile.

Barktoberfest will be at the southeast grassy area of Lake Eola.  For more info on Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando, view their profile page.
