Leu Gardens will be having a movie night featuring the Oscar-winning film Gravity. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, and guests are invited to bring picnic food and alcohol. The movie will start at 7:30 pm with weather permitting.
The 2013 blockbuster film stars Sandra Bullock and George Cloooney and is directed by Alfonso Cuarón. The science fiction thriller and space drama tells the story of two astronauts stranded in space and seeking a way home after a catastrophic failure immobilizes them and separates them from Mission Control. The film won numerous accolades this past year including 7 Academy Awards, among them Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, and Best Original Score.
Gates to Leu Gardens open for guests to set up starting at 6 pm. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 tax for children. Leu Garden Members receive free admission to this event. Payment is collected at the door. ChiPhi Food Truck will be serving food starting at 6 p.m.
