Dinner on the Avenue
April 12th - 6:00pm to 10:00pm
Dinner on the Avenue is a local competition and social event in Winter Park. Visitors can gather a table of friends, family, co-workers or neighbors to dine under the stars on beautiful Park Avenue. Tables of eight (8) are available for just $100 each. Only the table, white linen tablecloth, and chairs are provided - everything else for dining is up to you.
Guests are invited to get creative with table set-up at Dinner on the Avenue, letting appetites decide whether they bring their own potluck dinner or hire a local caterer. Artistry is encouraged and each group is challenged to develop its own unique look and individual décor for the table settings. Awards will be presented to winners in various categories including most colorful, most elegant, most original, best TV/movie-themed, and honorable mentions. This Orlando event is a fun way to enjoy dinner, social atmosphere, and creativity.
Tables for Dinner on the Avenue will go on sale Monday, January 6, at 8 a.m. at the Winter Park Community Center located at 721 West New England Avenue. The Orlando event will be held on April 12th at 6 p.m., with judging starting at 7 p.m. sharp. Awards will be presented once the judges have decided on the winners.
Patrons to Dinner on the Avenue are also encouraged to donate canned food items at the event for the “Dinner Drive” in support of Second Harvest Food Bank. Monetary donations, gift cards, and non-perishable food items will be accepted at the information table located across from Welbourne Avenue. Second Harvest Food Bank is a charity that provides food for those in the community struggling to make ends meet.
Free parking will be available at 392 N. Park Avenue just off Canton Avenue on 4th & 5th floors.
Dinner on the Avenue will be held in Winter Park along Park Avenue between New England Avenue and Morse Boulevard.
