Free Agent Hockey Tryouts

Free Agent Tryouts will be held to give hockey players an opportunity to earn a spot on the roster for the Orlando Solar Bears. Players who have attended free agent tryouts in the past have gone on to play in numerous hockey games for the Orlando Solar Bears.

Players must be at least 18 years old to try out. They must be free from any contract with an 'AA' level team or higher for 2013-2014. Players will be ineligible to try out if they've played in over 36 professional games at the 'AA' level or higher at any point in time, including but not limited to the NHL, ECHL, AHL or Central Hockey League.

Tryout spots will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Players must register for the tryouts by September 5th, with full payment complete and a confirmation letter received. Payment to try out is $275, which includes 2 practices, 1 scrimmage, lunch, and a camp try-out jersey that participants can take home. Players trying out must arrange their own transportation, accommodations, and meals.

The Orlando Solar Bears require that all free agent players who are trying out bring all necessary equipment. This includes a half-visor/shield for skates, a mask for goaltenders, and a mouth guard.

1. Download and fill out a Tryout Application and Waiver & Release Form completely.

3. Call Kelsey Muchacho in the Solar Bears Executive Offices to provide payment info by dialing (407) 951-8200.
