The Great Irish Hooley

Four days of Irish food, fun, and entertainment, including stepdancing workshops, Celtic facepainting, and Irish music!

  • Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant will be celebrating four packed days of Irish culture including music, food, drinks, and dance. A hooley is a traditional Irish social that combines great food and entertainment for families and friends of all ages.

    Bands that will be performing at this Orlando eatery will play a variety of genres from traditional Irish folk music to Irish rock. Listen to the music of Scythian, Elevation, Lisa Canny, Creel, The Farrell Brothers, The Raglan Rebels, and Johnny Norton & Justin Murphy.

    Visitor can have their face painted Celtic-style Saturday through Monday from noon until 10 pm. There will also be dance workshops where guests can learn authentic Irish dances. Ronan McCormack of Riverdance will choreograph one workshop while Riverdance music director Declan Masterson will lead another. Both performers will be offering advice from their own professional experiences and teaching Irish dance with the help of Creel and the Raglan Road Dancers.

    The Raglan Road festival features Irish Ceilis which are 2 hours long and greatly encourage audience participation in their Irish dancing. The Labor Day Weekend hooley will end with an The Electric Ceili, an amped-up extravanganza that will bring all the acts, all the dance, and all the music onto one stage. The Electric Ceili starts on Monday at 9 pm.

    All shows and events are FREE.

    Hooley merchandise will be available throughout the weekend.

    Patio performances may be rescheduled due to inclement weather.
