  • Profile Overview

Disney's Hollywood Studios is one of the four theme parks in the Walt Disney World Resort. It's inspired by the film industry, glamour of the gilded age and Hollywood favorites, with a multitude of rides, shows, exhibits, restaurants, and experiences.

The theme park isn't definitively labeled the way the other parks are, but rather, blends together shifting from one scene to another - much like a real movie studio. Some of their popular areas include Sunset Boulevard, where you'll find thrill rides like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Pixar Place includes character meet and greets with Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story, and their popular 3D shooting gallery, Toy Story Midway Mania!

Shows include performances like Beauty and the Beast, as well as stunt demonstrations, including Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show. You'll also see streetside performances by original Hollywood Studios characters and bands, and interactive experiences like the Jedi Training Academy for kids. At night, catch Fantasmic!, their 30-minute fireworks and water show with a spectacle of magic and thrills as brings Mickey Mouse and other Disney heroes face to face with Disney's most wicked villians.

Hollywood Studios has plenty of dining and shopping options within the theme park. If you're looking for quick service, there's spots like Pizza Planet Arcade, where games are served up alongside pizza, or you can immerse yourself in a unique family table service experience. Visit Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, where you can watch sci-fi/horror B-movie nostalgia from the 1950s while enjoying a classic American meal - everything from burgers to hot dogs to chicken sandwiches. Enjoy fine dining at the glamorous Hollywood Brown Derby - a replica of the original celebrity restaurant. Some of their in-store shops include Tatooine Traders, where you can build your own lightsaber, and Sid Cahuenga's One-of-a-Kind, where you can buy signed autographs and movie memorabilia of pop culture's favorite stars and starlets.

Many vacation packages are available from Disney that include dining, accomodations, and park entry.

Events throughout the year include Disney's Star Wars Weekends with celebrities from the saga, characters in Star Wars costumes, parade and more. Another popular event during the holidays is the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, where the Streets of America are decked out from top to bottom in lights accompanied by music and even falling snow!

Hours at the park are subject to change, so please check times.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is located at the southern part of Walt Disney World Resort. It's across from the Swan and Dolphin Resort on Buena Vista Drive. Coming from the west, it's the first left after the Hess station. Look for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, labeled as the Hollwood Tower Hotel.
