Profile Overview
Enzian Theater is Central Florida’s only full-time alternative cinema. It’s also home to Eden Bar and the Florida Film Festival. Enzian strives to entertain, inspire, educate and connect the community through film. It’s a member-supported, nonprofit cultural organization, and all proceeds from membership fees, ticket sales, and food and beverage sales benefit its mission.
Enzian is a single-screen cinema café that mostly shows independent and foreign films, with two dining options and a variety of special programming.
You can find out what’s currently planning and what’s coming soon on Enzian’s website or by calling the Movie Info Line. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the box office or online, and Enzian accepts cash and all major credit cards. The box office is open 1-9 p.m. daily. Cult Classics, opening weekends and special programming all sell out pretty quickly, so it’s recommended you buy your tickets in advance.
The inside of the theater is set up like a dining room, with four tiers of seating and tables for two or four, single seats and couches. Once seated, a server will take your order. The extensive menu has gourmet appetizers and entrées, beer, wine, desserts and popcorn. Table reservations are available to members of the Enzian Film Society at the Contributor level and above. For everyone else, seating is first-come, first-served. Anyone can see a film at Enzian, and anyone can become a member.
You can also dine at the outdoor Eden Bar, which is open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 a.m. It serves the full Enzian menu, as well as liquor, beer, and wine.
Among the special and recurring events Enzian hosts are Popcorn Flicks in the Park in WInter Park's Central Park, Cult Classics, Saturday Matinee Classics, Wednesday Night Pitcher Show, Florida Film Festival, KidFest summer camp, Brouhaha Film & Video Showcase, FilmSlam and more.
Enzian is available for rental for private events, business meetings, weddings and more. It offers four levels of seating, seating for 200, catering, full audio/visual, and private screenings.
Ample free parking is available.
Enzian Theater is located near the intersection of Orlando Avenue and Magnolia Road, across from Buca di Beppo.
